Our privacy commitment
Relevant information. Clear purpose. Responsible stewardship.
This page builds on the principles in Solara’s previous privacy notice—no selling, purpose-limited collection, robust safeguards and respect for your rights—while explaining how this website now handles enquiries, brochure requests and service communications.
1. Who we are
Solara Property Group is responsible for the information you share with us.
This privacy notice explains how Solara Property Group collects and uses personal information when you use this website, request a property search, enquire about an opportunity or request a brochure.
For the purposes of UK data-protection law, the data controller is Solara Property Group, 71–75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ, company number 16603666. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact info@solarapg.com and use the subject line “Privacy request”.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what is relevant to your enquiry and the service you request.
When you submit a property-search, availability or brochure request, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, property interests and the information you include in your message. Where offered, we record a separate, optional choice if you ask to receive future Solara property updates by email.
For the secure brochure journey, we process a required contact mobile number, a personal email-verification link, a hashed IP address and request-security information, secure-access expiry and access events. We use this limited information to prevent automated or excessive collection of property documents and operate the requested service.
3. How we use your information
Your information is used for a clear, relevant purpose.
We use enquiry information to respond to you, arrange or support a property search, provide brochure or availability information you request, and maintain a record of the conversation. Access to a detailed property pack may be time-limited, request-specific and subject to an adviser review. We may also use information to protect the website, prevent misuse and improve the reliability of our service.
Our main legal bases are taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, our legitimate interests in running a secure and responsive property-advisory service, and compliance with legal obligations. Where consent is required by law, we will ask for it separately.
5. International processing
Property interests can be international; data protection remains a priority.
Solara advises on UK and international opportunities. Our service providers or relevant property partners may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we use safeguards required by applicable data-protection law, such as approved contractual protections or an adequacy decision, as appropriate.
6. Retention and security
We keep information no longer than reasonably necessary.
We retain enquiry and brochure-request records for as long as needed to respond to your request, manage the relationship, meet legal or regulatory requirements, resolve a dispute, or enforce our agreements. When the information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it in line with our retention practices.
We use access controls, encrypted connections and operational security measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive personal information through website forms.
8. Your rights
You remain in control of your personal information.
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask us to access, correct, erase, restrict or receive a portable copy of your personal information. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Contact info@solarapg.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with how we handle your information.
9. Changes to this notice
We will keep this notice current as our services develop.
We may update this privacy notice to reflect changes to our services, technology or legal obligations. The current version will always be published here with its revision date. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will take appropriate steps to notify you.
